Karen M. Alt (J.D., George Washington University Law School, 2002; B.A., Georgetown University, 1997) has concentrated her practice in the areas of Municipal Law, Civil and Commercial Litigation, Personal Injury Law, Insurance Defense, and Real Estate. Ms. Alt is admitted to practice in the States of New York and Connecticut as well as the Eastern and Southern United States District Courts of New York.
Prior to entering private practice in 2005, Ms. Alt was Deputy Town Attorney for the Town of Yorktown in Westchester County, New York from 2004 through 2005, where she was primary counsel to the Town of Yorktown Planning Board and interim counsel to the Town of Yorktown Zoning Board of Appeals. She represented the Town of Yorktown in housing litigation and served as a hearings officer in administrative proceedings involving Town agencies.
Ms. Alt was also a judicial law clerk for the State of Connecticut Superior Court from 2002 through 2004 where she specialized in administrative appeals and land use matters.
